Screen-printed Pencil Case
This pencil case is a self portrait, featuring an image of my dogs and representing my love of writing and art. The image is a two-color photo emulsion screen print on medium-weight cotton canvas. After screen printing, I sewed the canvas into a pencil case using several other fabrics and a zipper. The top of the case slides down to more easily access the contents.

Artist Statement
I'm a graphic design student in my first year at SLCC. I have previously gone to school for German literature and creative writing. I love textiles and sewing, and have enjoyed combining these interests with class assignments at SLCC.
