Monstera Notan
This is a cut-paper notan using black craft paper and Bristol board. Monstera leaves, with their distinct holes and deep curves, lend themselves particularly well to an art form highlighting interesting positive and negative space.

Artist Statement
I'm a graphic design student in my first year at SLCC. I have previously gone to school for German literature and creative writing. I love textiles and sewing, and have enjoyed combining these interests with class assignments at SLCC.
