Push Forward
Using only typography from minimal font, this figure embodies the concept to "Push Forward." The only modification being the font size, all type appears in carefully planned paths exactly the way it is written in the set phrase. A single piece of the original photo is placed to show the swift, unbroken motion in the shoulders that helps to propel the body and the design further.

Artist Statement
Listen, I just want to try it. Whatever idea has my mind entirely occupied, I must make it into or out of something tangible. Glue, paste, hinges, connectors, thread, words, graphics and color are all added and replaced and twisted and embellished- simply while staring at a blank page, or a scrap piece of material. The sheer amount of possibilities makes my mind seem endless, as well as endlessly excited.
Anything.
Anything at all.
Anything can lead to something far greater than it started out as. Anything can become an idea that keeps you up at night researching. Any single thing has enough potential to create entire worlds and backstory enriched with meaning and feeling. And everything has this power to become anything.
